This module we will be working towards creating our own podcast. To start working towards that project, let’s talk about what we already know about podcast. Think about the following questions that address your current understanding of podcast:
1. What’s a podcast?
2. What are podcast about?
3. Where can you hear podcasts?
4. Why would YOU (specifically you) listen to a podcast?
5. What makes a podcaster different from a YouTuber?
6. How does it change the way you tell a story when you’re on a phone? How does it change the way you listen when you can’t see someone?
Now listen to a sample podcast. I was going to assign a podcast for you to listen to, but I figured you would enjoy listening to something you care about, so simply search for a podcast that covers a topic of your choice. Make sure to include the title and link the podcast to your discussion board post.
1. Do you like it?
2. Who did you hear talking in it?
3. What sort of sounds does it use, besides interviews?
4. What made the podcast interesting/ uninteresting?
5. Did you notice anything that the podcaster did that was really helpful as a listener?
You will post create your initial thread with a 250+ word post and respond to at least two classmates with 75+ words.
