PowerPoint-Maslow vs Rogers

Carl Rogers and Abraham Maslow are 2 of the founders of Humanistic psychology, an approach that focuses on positive mental health. Abraham Maslow’s theory on self-actualization argued that the main goal of psychotherapy should be the integration of self. According to McLeod (2014), Carl Rogers agreed with the main assumptions of Maslow’s theory but added that in order for an individual to grow, they needed an environment that provided them with genuineness, acceptance and empathy.
