(1) In your textbook, Essential Statistics, read Chapter 11, “Chi-Square and Analysis of Variance,” focusing on Section 11-3, “One-Way Analysis of Variance.” (Attached)
(2) Watch the video “Chi-Square” (Youtube Video available Online) explaining the Excel skills you will need to complete the practice problem. Note that the version of Excel presented in the video may differ from the one you are using.
(3) Open the file WS5Practice (Excel). Follow the directions in the worksheet to create a full hypothesis test with interpretation. There are two tabs on this worksheet. The first tab, “Raw Data,” represents Step 1 in the process. The second tab, “Quake Data,” represents Step 2. You need to complete both steps.
(4) Save your exercises as a single Excel file. Name the file WS5Practice.xlsx and title your submission WS5 Practice.
