These skills will all be put to use in your Researched Essay.
Tips
You don’t need to submit each individual step; just submit the polished draft (step 5) and the Remix.
In your summary, be sure to attribute the argument to the author or authors. You need signaling phrases like “according to Jeff Smith,” or “Jeff Smith believes” or “the Editorial Board argues”. That tells your audience that the argument was written by that other person, not you.
The Remix should be a separate paragraph from your summary. One of the skills we’re practicing here is summarizing what someone else said without including your own opinion. So first you’ll write a summary of the opinion article, and then you’ll write a separate paragraph with your own contribution to the discussion.
