1. Identify your audience and purpose for writing in your professional career. Think about this in terms of your future goals in the field of marketing. If you are planning to be a marketing manager, your audience might include clients, other businesses/organizations, colleagues, and prospective clients.
Then, think about the varying demographics of your audiences — you may have to tailor messages to appeal to different types of audiences.
2. Write a statement analyzing who your audience is comprised of, what tactics you are going to take to reach them, and what you hope for them to gain from your writing.
