The essay will be based on Selena Quintanilla-Prez singer.

1. Your essay must be double-spaced, using a 11- or 12-point font and one-inch margins. Paragraphs should be indented five spaces.
2. The paper needs a title, introduction paragraph, and conclusion paragraph. A title gives a hint about the paper, the introduction gives an overall view of the major points, and a conclusion lets a reader know that the writer is finished.
3. Include your name, course and section number on top of the 1st page.
4. The exercises should be written in your own words limit direct quotes from other sources.
Footnotes are not required. Any direct quote, of course, should be cited.

Choose a prominent Texan, who is deceased, and write a biography about the person. Discuss the Texans life and the persons significance in Texas political culture in your own words, not a citation of another authors written works.
The Texan could be a musician, artist, author, educator, politician, business person, physician, scientist, or anyone else who played a role in developing Texas political culture. You should not write about someone who is still living because the persons role in our state has not ended. Include the date of birth and date of death, if available, of your individual.
