1b) Provide a written response relating to the video and Monday’s lecture on language development. Describe and explain how Genie’s outcomes (in terms of language acquisition) provide support for BOTH the nativist and empiricist perspective. Responses should be around 300 words in length.
2) Provide a written response relating to Wednesday’s lectures on cognitive development. Consider the emergence of a particular developmental skill that falls under the umbrella of the developmental domains we’ve discussed in the lecture thus far (eg. physical, perceptual, language) and describe the emergence of that skill through the lens of one of the three theories of cognitive development covered in this course – constructivist, sociocultural or information processing. Responses should be around 400 words total.
