Quote Integration

This is a short assignment that asks you to develop your citation skills. This part asks you to find a relevant quote from different sections of the Revolutions podcast and the David Harvey lecture on Marx’s Capital.
Each answer will be graded for all of the following:
A proper introduction to the quote using the author’s first and last name on your first quote (Mike Duncan is the host of Revolutions) from a given speaker, and last name only on each quote after that. Your introduction should also use one of the following introductory words: states, claims, asserts, agrees, comments, suggests, observes, contends, explains, believes, proposes, argues, concludes, or notes. Choosing the proper introduction is part of the grade. The proper format using Chicago Manual Style citations would be:
David Harvey argues, “X….” (7:33).
Karl Marx concludes, “X…..” (cited in Ritzer and Stepniski, 99).
Ritzer and Stepnisky relate Marx’s thought relating to dialectics as “…….” (99).
Note: Chicago Manual Style is required for this and all assignments.
An explanation of the meaning of the quote in your own words. This shows the reader that you know what it means and helps the reader to understand by rephrasing what was said. You will also define any key terms that the author/speaker uses in your explanation.
A discussion of why the quote is important. Why should we care? Then why should we care question can be answered in one of the following ways:
How does this quote connect to a broader concept? This step treats the quote as a detail that is part of the larger concept.
How does the quote help us to better understand the theory of the world around us?
How does the quote connect to previous quotes or paragraphs? What relationship does it establish and why is that relationship important?
Each of the above three aspects of your work should have at least one sentence each.
