Race to Space
1) How the US lost the initial race (Sputnik discussion) 2)
Technology (launch, trajectories, orbits, spacecraft, subsystems) that allows
US to land people on the Moon 3) The decades between Apollo and Artemis (this
would be where you should talk about the ISS and other space stations) 4) The
present: Artemis and the return to the moon 5) The future: the race to leave
the Earth’s magnetosphere
The Research Paper must include the following:
Cover page
Table of Contents
10-12 pages of written text (not including Cover page, Table
of Contents, pictures, graphs, or the Bibliography)
Bibliography
Times New Roman or Arial font (10 or 12 pt)
Include at least 2-3 images (Pictures, graphs, or charts) to
enhance your paper
Complete citations (footnotes, endnotes or in-text) for all
sources/references
Include at least 10 references in your paper, to include the
author’s name, the date, the title, and the source
Don’t cite Wikipedia – it’s not an appropriate source for
college papers!
