The text will include 3 specific parts in this order: an overall summary of the facts surrounding your incident, the disposition of what ultimately happened to those involved and any changes the departments involved have made as a result, and what you and your peers as criminal justice students should be learning from this incident as you get closer to beginning a career within the criminal justice profession. Each one of these parts needs a heading and should be 1-2 pages in length, making the overall paper (not including references or a title page, if you wish to add one) between 3-6 pages.
The paper must be Times New Roman 12-point font, double spaced, with one-inch margins. Citations need to be done in APA style for the first 2 parts of the paper (I do not expect students to purchase an American Psychological Association Publication Manual, as there are many online resources to use as a guide. For the first 2 parts, you should avoid a first-person narrative (ie: I know… I believe… I think… I feel… etc). However, for the 3rd part you are encouraged to make it personal.
