Do not use outside resources. Read the text Hamlet, notice something, and write about it.
a. Your grade will be determined more on the articulation of your idea than the idea
itself, so don’t stress if you think it’s “not good.”
2. You must develop a thesis and focus on the thesis:
a. Topic + Debatable opinion (use of color, character trait, language, setting,
repeated symbol, etc. + why do you think that element is important to the story).
3. Provide at least two instances of textual evidence to help support your thesis.
a. Quotations required
b. Why are these pieces of evidence important, what should I notice when I look at
them (connect to your thesis)
c. This will provide you with two body paragraphs, in addition to your introduction
and conclusion
