Reading Assignment and Academic Summary # 2: Zimbardo’s transcribed lecture

Prior to the start of class on the due date, read and summarize Philip Zimbardo’s “Stanford Prison Experiment,” accessible from the following link: ZimbardoReformat.pdf
download
Part I: Read the text
Be sure to read carefully and annotate (take notes on) the text!
Please have this text and your annotations open and available for our class discussion.
Part II: Summarize the text
Write a single-paragraph academic summary of the text. Don’t try to recount all of the events detailed in the text. Focus on introducing the author and his text and describing his methods and results.
Be sure that the summary is in MLA format (consult your Little Seagull Handbook for MLA specifics), including MLA format margins, header, and citation.
Be sure that your summary is only one paragraph long.
Consult the summary rubric if you aren’t sure how to write a summary. The rubrics are in “Resources,” accessible from Modules in Canvas.
