This reading assignment focuses on climate change and the ways that scientists communicate this information. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change is one of the most well known and respected scientific working groups in the world. It is comprised of 2,500+ scientists from every country on the planet. They review all scientific literature on climate change science and then synthesize (digest and summarize) into reports. The assessment reports cover the full scientific, technical, and socio-economic assessment of climate change. For this assignment, you are asked to engage with various parts of the IPCC report and summarize what we know about climate change.
