Reading, Summarizing, and Responding to Secondary Sources

There are 2 parts to this assignment. You must read the 2 sources I will add and summarise both. Then you must write another paragraph responding to each source regarding the source’s argument. Little to no plagiarism please. Further instructions are posted as follows:

Part 1: Write a single-paragraph comprehensive summary of each of the two source readings (posted as uploaded files). Each summary must be a single paragraph of approximately 200 words (i.e., 180-220). Accurately capture the main content of each argument. Write concisely, avoiding entirely formulations such as “Brumbaugh says…,” “according to Mott…,” etc. To this end, write from the author’s point of view, that is, in his voice, not your own. Although you will probably use terms and phrases from the original readings, no quotation marks are required; in a summary, blanket attribution to the author is assumed.

Part 2: Using your own words write a thoughtful, well-organized 1-paragraph response to each of the two source readings. Organize your own thoughts here, writing in your own voice; bear in mind that your response must engage the argument presented by each secondary source reading. As with your summary, each response must be approximately 200 words.
