TOPIC: REDUCTION IN YOUTH TRUANCY

Purpose
The purpose of this assignment is to develop the skill of presenting a program or project from an evaluation perspective. Write a brief report of 500 – 600 words, excluding the conceptual framework, that addresses the topics below.
A. Background on the public problem
You may use one of the article readings for this week, or choose your own public problem that you would like to evaluate. You may wish to include additional resources to supplement the information provided in the readings.
Ordinarily, the section would require an in-depth analysis of the problem. For purposes of this assignment, assume others have completed this in-depth analysis. Your job is to provide a brief summary describing the public problem that the intervention is designed to address.
B. Objectives of the program (project)
This section identifies what the objectives the program is hoping to achieve. Try to identify 3 -5 objectives and why they are important to addressing the public program.
C. Description of the intervention intended to achieve the objectives
This section explains to the reader the different activities that will be carried out with the aim of achieving the program objectives. This information is important for understanding the program and (later) designing the process evaluation. For the purposes of this assignment, limit the description to a summary overview.
D. Design of a conceptual framework that shows how the intervention is expected to achieve the objectives (logic model)
This section is the logic model part of this weeks assignments. You may complete you logic model on a different project, but I think it would be easier to do them on the same project. This part may be submitted with the rest of the assignment, but it will be graded separately. See the Logic Model assignment notes for more details.
