Greetings, this will be a reflective paper. I just finished a 10 week internship position at a non profit government funded agency called Cayuga center under the supervision of Sheri Stanzak as a CQI Intern at their Harlem location also known as the anex. I believe I fulfilled some of the “MPA core competencies & values” I

The training for the internship was intense and long.
There are many locations. 9 in total. I had to familiarize myself with the Policy Writer folder in the Google drive and focus on the Resource folder.
when it came to going over some policies, I had some requirements go over

I learn all aspects of the CQI department through projects and assignments.
one assignment I have was to go through the regs in Article 29-I and compare it to the policies that were created by Cayuga to see if they align . If they do not then make a recommendations
After that I was asked to go over the policy on discharge planning and edit it to the best of my ability. ( that was fun cause I got to get a fresh pair of eyes the following day but I was able to ask Sheri all of my questions before and ask her what I should be looking for.
my biggest assigment was on sexual harrasment. Task: sexual harassment requirements for all states in which cayuga ceneters is located. I will attach the presentation also the chart I made for referencing so that the information Is accessible for all. ( I did all the research, state by state and even did some for the training.
towards the end of doing my research, I presented my recommendation on sexual harrasment training to the cqi team and my supervisory (I wass expremly nervous/ anxious cause I had about 36 slides but I think it went well specially because the MPA program prepared me to present my ideas adiqualy giving me the ability to critically think .It remind me a little bit about Aleksey class where I had to present my thesis .
