Reflective writing on documentary “No impact man” (Module: CSR and business ethics)

No Impact man:

Present your personal reflection orally via a video. (In your case, dear writer, via writing. I will create video then) You are encouraged to be critical! Use the film report template below (don’t forget the last step –link to theory!).

Reflective video format:

Step 1: Give details of the documentary
Title of the documentary, name of filmmakers.

Step 2: Explain the purpose of the documentary
What is the purpose of the documentary?

Step 3: Summarize the documentary
What is the documentary about? What are the main events? What have you learned about the subject and moral arguments?What have you learned from the interviews?

Step 4: State your prior knowledge of the subject
Did you know anything about the subject before you watched the documentary? What questions did you have about the subjectprior to watching the documentary?

Step 5: Give personal comments
Critically state what you like and do not like about the documentary. Assess whether the filmmaker has achieved their intended goal. Evaluate your thoughts and emotions triggered when you watched the documentary. Why were these thoughts and emotions triggered? Was there anything that surprised you? Why did it surprise you? What have you learned from the documentary in relation to economic development/sustainability? How will what you have learned inform your future? Would you discuss your learning from the documentary and/or issues addressed in the documentary with your friends? Why/why not?

Step 6: Apply theory
Reflect on the issues in the documentary in relation to lectures and assigned literature and other sources you find relevant.
