formatting for in-text and bibliography citations.
Progress narrative should consist of only 2-paragraphs. Each paragraph must
contain at least 10 sentences.
The first paragraph should discuss the student’s progress this term towards
completing the Final Paper assignment. Be sure to indicate how each step relates
to your topic and/or your progress and experiences. Comments should NOT be
just a list of citations. Students are encouraged to discuss various topics
including how they found sources, thoughts they have towards bringing the
outside sources they have discovered into conversation with class materials, the
method you used to organize your work, etc. – activities and planning completed
so far during the term to do their independent research. All the issues listed here
do not have to be covered due to the short length of the paper. Pick topics that
most relate to your work. One or two sentences in this paragraph can be
devoted to providing a reason the student selected a particular population of
study.
The second paragraph should be devoted to a discussion of the student’s
approach moving forward – answer the question, what steps will be taken to
complete the project?
