Theology of Worship Paper Instructions
Identify 25 important theological tenets which form the foundation of your Theology of Worship and write them in a principle-explanation-Scripture format. The key emphasis of this paper must be the theological implications of worship. Each principle must be developed within the context of biblical worship. To state a theological principle and describe it is not enough. You must relate the principle to biblical worship in the broader sense and explain the implications of each principle related to worship. Remember that worship is not just limited to the action of the corporate assembly, but also encompasses the total life of the believer. Therefore, most of your principles should reflect this present, personal reality. In crafting these theological tenets, consider such issues as Gods character, mans position, relationship of man to God, mans ability to please God, Gods work on behalf of man, mans response to God, the picture of Gods work revealed in the Old Testament, Gods work realized in the New Testament, etc

These are just a few thoughts to get your ideas flowing. This will not be a comprehensive Theology of Worship, but should be a foundational document that will be revised and further developed over time. This document will undoubtedly change and evolve as you enter ministry and give greater consideration to the biblical framework of all that you believe regarding God, His Word, the work of salvation, and worship.

This paper will not be written in paragraph form. Rather, format each theological principle as a new bullet point. Use of bold for each point is optional. Then provide a supportive paragraph for the principle, with a well-crafted explanation of each principle in your own words supported by Scripture references and an explanation of its implications for worship. The supportive paragraph for each principle must be indented. Scripture references must be written out and can be single-spaced. If a reference includes more than 2 verses, write out only the key part of the passage and reference the rest in your citation. Each principle description must be 250300 words, not including the Scripture references.
