Repeated Measures MANOVA or MANCOVA Discussion
Design a study requiring repeated measures MANOVA or MANCOVA analyses with two or more dependent variables. The repeated measures MANOVA must have 2 or more time periods. The MANCOVA must have at least 2 dependent variables and a interval-level covariate). The study can either be based on an existing data set or you can design your own data collection.
PROBLEM: What “problem” motivates the study (must be substantiated by the literature)?
LIT REVIEW: Summarize several key studies that help to justify the study (appropriate citations and references required)
RESEARCH QUESTION: Clarify the research question(s).
STUDY DESIGN: Clarify the study design (sample, sample size, research design, data collection method) for collecting the data for a new study or the nature of the secondary data set (same content as above).
VARIABLES/MEASUREMENT: Clarify the dependent variables, independent variable(s) and covariate (if appropriate) and how they will be measured. Note: Make sure that the dependent variables (and covariates if applicable) are at the interval or ratio level and that the independent variable(s) are nominal or ordinal. Provide information on the specific approach to measuring your dependent variables (i.e., tell me about the specific instrument).
Identify any limitation (e.g., threats to the internal or external validity, quality of measurement) of the study.
