“To What Extent was Richard Nixon’s Foreign Policy Responsible for US Failure in Vietnam during the Vietnam War?”

Please analyze this question from multiple perspectives and consider both Nixon’s policy of Vietnamization and Lyndon B. Johnson’s policy of escalation to argue a conclusion. The argument would either be that Nixon’s foreign policy was responsible for US failure during the war, or it was not and someone/something else was.
