This research project will focus on the current world issue of “climate change and global warming.” There is so much information out there about this issue facing our world today, and many differing viewpoints among the population. There are people and scientists who are warning us about the dangers of global warming, and there are skeptics who believe that global warming is not a severe issue that is threatening our planet.
For this research paper, you are to you are to read/view the content on global warming in this module to gain a better understanding of what it is and hear arguments for both sides of this debate. Then, you are to conduct your own research to learn more about this global issue and write a paper explaining all aspects and beliefs on global warming and climate change.
While writing this research paper, be sure to keep it appropriate for the STEM style of writing by using a discursive writing approach. As you know from previous course modules, this means to offer all sides of the issue in your writing, with supporting evidence from outside sources. Do not be too wordy or overly sophisticated in your writing. You should strive for the perfect balance of informal writing while still remaining professional.
Your paper should be 5-7 pages long, incorporate outside sources, and use the knowledge you have learned throughout this course. Be sure to cite all of your outside information in your paper and include a Works Cited page.
In this module, Module 5, you will have 3 weeks to read the course content on global warming, submit your thesis statement and resources to your instructor, along with the first 2-3 pages of your research paper.
In Module 6, you will have the final 2 weeks to complete and submit the final draft of your research paper.
