Throughout the semester many social topics have been discussed. This project is designed to allow you to think critically and express your opinion regarding multiple topics of social concern in our global community.
You will choose (5) social topics to write about from any of the (15) chapters in our textbook. Each topic must contain the required divisions for each topic chosen.:
Why I Chose This Topic (what interested you and why)
Personal Critique (what do you see as the problems, social issues, and ramifications on society regarding the social topic)
Ways to Improve the Situation (in order for the problem(s) to be reduced)
Project must be double spaced, using no larger than 12-point type.
Each of the (5) topics must be placed in Bold Faced Type at the top of separate pages.
Do not begin a new topic on the same page as the previous topic discussion.
Each topic must be 1½ to 2 pages in length.
This project is subjective in nature and must be about your thoughts only and no one else. Therefore, your paper will consist of your opinion and must not contain references and citations.
The project must be your own work.
Copy and pasted internet information will not be allowed and will cause the student to receive 0/100 points.
The Vericite software tool will be used in the Canvas grading process of the project in order to watch for plagiarism and copied work from other students or the internet.
Remember that this is an opportunity for you to think critically and develop your own ideas and thoughts.
