Most ethnographic studies involve some interviews, whether planned or spontaneous. Conducting a successful interview involves careful preparation to develop questions that will advance our understanding of participants perspectives and experiences. Purpose: 1.Determine what kinds of data can be gathered through interviewing 2.Identify appropriate categories or types of interviewees for a specific research issue 3.Practice formulating questions for a qualitative interview Tasks: 1.Using the feedback you received on Part 2 of the research proposal, review (and re-state) the research question you identified. If your ideas have evolved, you may modify the question to fit your more developed understanding of the subject. Do not, however, change to different topic or question.
