Down below I have attached my Proposal part one and two for this assignment, to catch you up to speed.
KINE 4365Research Proposal #3For this assignment, you will develop your materials and methods that will be used in your hypothetical project. Money and time are of no object here, so design the experiment that you believe bestaddresses your hypotheses!First, please include your hypothesis at the top. You may have thought about your project further andrealized that you need to increase your focus on the area, rather than be too broad. Remember thatmost hypotheses are written generally as as a “yes or no” question – for example, does Medication Aimprove the condition B?Things that need to be included in this assignment:- Participants: Who are your study subjects? Are they humans? Animals? Describe the population.Males? Females? Both? What ages? Also include how many people you will use. You don’t needto provide the actual statistical calculations here but think about the sizes of the researchprojects you read about in the lit review. If you’re doing an intervention-based study, youtypically don’t use thousands of people unless it takes place over many, many years. On theother hand, if you are only using questionnaires or surveys, do you believe only using a fewrespondents would be appropriate? Consult more journal articles if you aren’t sure. Also addresshow you will maintain anonymity of your subjects and protect their privacy – regardless of thenature of your project, respecting the ethical nature of a project is an extremely important partof all research.- Experimental Techniques: This will be the bulk of the assignment. Very rarely will you use asingular experiment to prove your point; you will likely need to address more than one type ofexperiment that your project will use. Maybe you will start out by giving your participants asurvey/questionnaire to gather demographic information and follow it up with an intervention. If you’re using two different groups, explain how participants will be stratified into control vstreatment groups. If you’re doing a crossover design, explain how you will determine thetreatment order. Think of all of the different parts of the experiment that need to be carried outin order to answer your hypothesis. If you’re doing a longitudinal study, explain why you chosethe length of your intervention and how many times you will assess your participants. Whilethere are some inherently right and wrong answers here, most fall in a grey space. As long asyou follow it up with an explanation as to why you chose the technique you propose, you willreceive credit. The best way to do this would be to include citations to other articles that did asimilar project to what you are proposing. As you move forward as scientific researchers, recognize that most methods sections do include astatistical analysis section. You will include very basic statistics in your results assignment, but you do not need to provide the statistical analysis here.
