Describe the research topic (2-4 sentences) and state the research question you are interested in answering.
State the specific hypothesis for the research proposal—this can be null, directional, or non-directional.
You should avoid being overly general with your research hypothesis.
At the same time your hypothesis should be something that is realistically testable if you had access to participants and materials.
Further, you will identify the specific variables you will use to test your research hypothesis. You should be able to physically point to your variables in your hypothesis.
Be sure to specifically identify the variables as independent and dependent (if experimental) or key variables (if correlational).
