Research the laws regarding homosexuality in the United States and in one other country. Compare the laws in the two countries and explain why you think the similarities and differences between the two countries exist. Also watch the video and discuss the video with your classmates in relation to the laws. The discussion must be 250 words, cited APA style. You must provide a 50 word response to at least two of your classmates posts. Post is due on Sunday, July 25, 2021
Here are a couple of things you will be deducted points for in writing future discussions:

Critical Thinking-Discussions are designed to facilitate discussion with your classmates. You must think critically about the discussions and answer ALL factors related to the discussion. You must include course material and outside information (if indicated) in your initial discussion as well as in your responses. Responses cannot be just a simple, “yeah I agree with you”. Although responses are only 50 words, make them count. Describe in detail why you agree and relate it back to the reading material.

Reference-You must reference your work in APA format. This includes in text citations. For example, in the previous discussion, many of you provide definitions but failed to indicate where you got it from. The same can be seen with statistics quoted in your responses. You must reference your work. If you need more information on how to properly do this please let me know.

Timeliness- Initial discussions must be posted by the due date of the initial discussion not the final due date. The responses must be posted on the final due date. You will be deducted points for this.

Classmate responses- Unless otherwise indicated, you must provide a 50 word response to at least two of your classmates post. You may post responses anytime up until the due date. A good discussion will not only include responses to classmates but responses to the classmates that responded to you (ongoing discussion or debate about a particular topic).
Read over your work- Check your work for spelling and grammatical errors. Read over your initial discussions to make sure they make sense. Correct any misspelled words or grammatical errors. A great way to do this is to write your discussion in a word document, check for word count, misspelled words, and grammatical errors. Afterwards copy the information into the space provided on the discussion board. DO NOT attach discussions as a word document
