This is a two-part assignment. The research topic could be used for the second assignment. Attached is the 7 Steps Decision Making for guidance on question 2 (refer to page 2 of the pdf document). The assignment details are below:
(1) Briefly describe your proposed case study/research paper topic here and submit a draft outline in the form of a Word attachment. Consider the following in describing your research issue/topic: (1) What is my issue or topic? This should take several sentences. For example, not just police use of force or brutality but what aspect(s) of leadership, management, open systems, and police use of force or brutality are you most interested in. (2) Why is this issue important? For example, how is society impacted by the issue? (3) What sources of literature will you use for your analysis? How will you find them? Use your draft outline to set forth how you plan to organize your paper. Your draft outline should fit on approximately one page.
(2) Identify and define what you consider to be a critical criminal justice problem and apply the 7 steps Rational Decision-Making Model to the problem. What are at least 4 alternative solutions to the problem? Which alternative(s) would you select? Why? Briefly discuss the implementation of the alternative(s) you selected and how you would evaluate if you were successful. This is a creative thinking exercise. Minimum length approximately 300 words.
