Respond to the discussion

Conflict is an argument between people. For example, a person disagrees with another over different opinions. In healthcare, conflict is the breakdown of communication or trust between professionals in health and family that affects the treatment of the nurses to provide care to the patients. We will discuss in this essay: when to notify the staff in a clinic to close for the next three months, if its right to communicate to the staff about the closing at the same time, if downward communication can be used, if grapevine can be used to leak news to employees and when it is appropriate for the grapevine to pass information.
It is appropriate to notify the clinic staff between 30 to 45 days of the three months to prepare them psychologically to search for another job. Communication would be delivered simultaneously to ensure that all the employees have received the notice. Downward communication is the best because it involves messages that flow down in the command formal chain of the organization, for example, giving information from the upper to the bottom levels of the organization. (Genrich et al., 2020)
Grapevine should not be used to leak news to the workers because it brings some miscommunication and damages the company’s reputation. Grapevine is good if it is managed correctly. A grapevine is appropriate to pass information when the managers are sure about their subordinates’ reactions since the grapevine creates unity between workers as they discuss their views. (Worringer et al., 2020)
In conclusion, it is important to give notice to the employees in time and treat them to create an environment whereby employees do not feel the need to be given the notice. Notice should be given appropriately that is conducive to the employees.
