For the second part of the CQI paper, you will first revise the M3 CQI Paper – Part 1 based upon feedback from your instructor. Add to that the following:
Review various data collection tools used in quality improvement (e.g., checklists, Plan, Do, Study, Act (PDSA), flow charts, cause-and-effect diagram, histogram and Pareto diagram, regression analysis, satisfaction surveys, and process performance charts) and select one to evaluate your identified CQI prolem.
The assignment should include:
a brief discussion of the tools reviewed;
an overview of the selected tool;
background on the tool’s development;
any appropriate theory in the area;
description of why the tool would be effective in analyzing the identified problem;
the strengths and limitations of using the tool; and
resources (i.e., financial, technical, human) that may be needed to effectively use the tool to collect and evaluate data.
Support your discussion with at least three scholarly sources, including a reference to your selected tool.
The final paper should be 7-9 pages, not including the title or references pages, and should follow APA guidelines.
