Rhetorical Analysis of a Documentary Film

Preparation
Before beginning this assignment, you need to do the following:

,” by Laura Bolin Carroll.
Select a documentary that is at least 60 minutes in length. The documentary may be on any topic. Find a topic that is meaningful and interesting to you.
Writing Guidelines
Write a rhetorical analysis of a documentary made for television using the steps Laura Bolin Carroll outlines in her text.
In your analysis, you need to address all of the following:
context, including exigence, audience and constraints
the writer and the purpose of the text
the argument—both message and strategy
