For this final assignment this week, I would like you to consider the rhetorical impact of “Letter From A Birmingham Jail” by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
This assignment relates to our class’s requirement of writing and rhetorical analysis.

A summary of the meaning of the quote, possibly including a rhetorical connection to racial issues still prevalent today
What his purpose is in using those words

Quote 1:
“We had no alternative except to prepare for direct action, whereby we would present our very bodies as a means of laying our case before the conscience of the local and the national community. ”
Quote 2:
“Lamentably, it is an historical fact that privileged groups seldom give up their privileges voluntarily.”
Quote 3:
