Purpose:
Create an understanding of the risks of the Internet in regards to cyber crime and what can be done about it.
This assignment relates to the following Course Learning Requirements:
CLR 1: Describe how the escalated use of technology crime occurs and impacts individuals and groups.
CLR 2: Examine investigation basics, interview basics, red flags, methods, processes, special procedures and security advances in technologies to solve technology crimes.
Objective of this Assignment:
To demonstrate the risks the Internet poses to society in regards to cyber crime and to determine what can be done to reduce the risk.

After reading about Internet frauds, the various types of Internet frauds and examples of such crimes consider the impact of Internet frauds on the Internet, its users, commerce, international relations, and the Internet’s future. Is it possible to eliminate these frauds and explain? What would you like to see happen with the Internet that may eliminate the threat?
The Internet has been referenced as being similar to the Wild West. Consider what you have learned thus far about cyber crime and share what you think this statement means. Is it still relevant today and how could this view be changed? What will it take to protect Internet users? Will it ever be a truly safe place or will it always be user beware?
