The course is about colonization and the history of north america and its ecological consequences so thats how it needs to be framed.
For my proposal i didnt have much of a thesis i just wanted to research about the Ronanoke colony and how nature played a part in it
Assignment description:
Using feedback received on the proposal, and after creating an outline to guide their writing, each student must submit a 2,500-3,000 word essay (approximately 8-10 pages). Each essay must include: (A) an introductory paragraph that explains the subject, scope, and framing of the essay, and provides a clear thesis, (B) at least three sections that each make a distinct point that support the thesis of the essay; (C) compelling use of primary source evidence in at least one section to support the point made in that section; (D) consistent use of secondary sources to provide context and support for interpretation of primary source evidence; (E) a short conclusion that aligns with the thesis and introduction of the essay and explains why the topic of the essay matters; and (F) a bibliography with at least five secondary sources (not part of the word count).
