Rough Draft Literature Review

Rough
Draft Literature Review
Each student will individually conduct a literature review targeting the key concepts and pathways affecting health for your topic. The
organization of your literature review should follow from
the themes identified in your concept map. Your literature review needs to
synthesize the articles, noting how they
contribute to our understanding of your topic, or how they identify one or more
gaps in our knowledge about that topic. In
other words, write a narrative integrating the articles to show how they build
on one another. Together, the articles
including in your literature review should show a gap that you propose to address, or a rationale for pursuing the topic of your
CHA.

Your paper should be
about 3 pages in length (not including reference list) summarizing the
literature on your 2-3 selected topics related
to your CHA idea. (Remember, your CHA idea should be related to neighborhood/community social determinants of health). You
should include both in-text citations and a full bibliography
at the end of the paper. The bibliography should cite all papers and websites
from which you obtained information.
Students should use 7-10 peer-reviewed journal articles. Some ideas for
databases to search include: Medline,
PubMed, PAIS International, and Sociological Abstracts.
