After reading Chapters 4, 7, and 9 of The RoughWriter’s Guide, answer the following questions:
1. What do you think differentiates college writing from essay writing?
2. Which part of the writing process do you like the most? Dislike the most?
3. Think about the Essay 1 directions as they apply to what you might write: What type of pre-writing will you use and why? How can you refine/narrow your topic?
4. Respond to at least one peer.
Guidelines:
Discussion answers need to fully answer the questions and should be approximately 200 words for the total on each original Discussion post. Your answer should give new insight, provide support/details/examples, ask questions, or have some other thoughtful way of contributing to the discussion.
You have to post your answer to the discussion questions before it will allow you to see your peers’ answers. Don’t be nervous about this; I am looking to see that you are thinking and learning; not that your answers are like everyone else’s answers or that there is a “right” answer.
Your peer responses in the discussion board need to be at least 5 full sentences and thoughtful for credit.
