As a network engineer for a large corporation, you have been asked to create a 13-slide PowerPoint presentation and present it at a local community college to students studying network engineering. You have been asked to present on several key network-engineering concepts.
Your first slide should depict the steps of data encapsulation. The next series of slides will explain the concept of guided wire transmission and the three common types of wired transmission along with their maximum effective lengths before signal attenuation occurs.
The next section will provide an explanation of the three common wireless transmission methods and the benefits and disadvantages of each.
To conclude your presentation, you have been asked to provide a screen shot of a MS Visio network diagram that would illustrate the use of a repeater to extend the network between two end points that have a range further than the original transmission length of the media.
