– Select a website that relates to the course and U.S. history from pre-history to 1877
– Must review a website with a url ending in *.edu, *.gov, or *.org; if in doubt – ASK!
– NO *.com websites allowed – no exceptions
-Provide short synopsis of the website; what is it about?
– Evaluate the types of information it contains; identify any primary and secondary sources, types
of images and documents, articles, etc…
– Be sure that your paper provides both a brief summary of the websites focus and a detailed
explanation of how it would help in conducting research on the topic it addresses ~ In other
words…What is it about and what would it do for a researcher on the topic?
– Completed review should be 3-4 pages
– Must be typed, 10-12 Font size, Arial or New Times Roman only
– IMPORTANT: Provide a proper citation for the website reviewed as the heading for your paper
– Citations must be made using an approved citation style, i.e. MLA, APA, Chicago, etc…
– Post completed paper under the appropriate assignments tab in Blackboard; do not email it to
the instructor
