Self Care Project
Do a comprehensive lit review on the need for self care for caregivers. Develop some interventions that are easy ie breath work, art, music, etc.
Create a class, infographic, or poster demonstrating options for self-care. Be creative.
Turn in: a copy of what you presented, feedback from the recipients in short paragraph. (pretend it was presented to the elderly residents, and what was the feedback)
Reminiscence Session
Do a comprehensive literature review on the significance of reminiscence for the elderly population. Develop a reminiscence session for an individual or a group.
Write up in one paragraph how it went.

Medication Evaluation (2 hours outside of clinical per patient)
Poly pharmacy is a problem in the senior population. Select patient with multiple medications with high blood pressure, low iron, and diabetes.
Evaluate these medications using Beers Criteria
Make recommendations as appropriate.
Write up what you found and what you learned in your weekly report.
