Your philosophy guides your actions, behaviors, and thoughts as a leader in your work or community. This assignment is designed to help you synthesize all the concepts from this course and apply each to your growing professional skill set.
Reflecting on the content from this course, write your unique philosophy statement in a minimum of 2 complete pages, double-spaced in Word (Title page is required and not included in page count), 12-point font, and one-inch margins.
This assignment does not require citations/reference pages and should be 100% original work and not copied from online sources or your prior assignments. I am looking for you to express yourself with new insight in your final paper.
Thoroughly address each of the five prompts below in separate sections with strong supporting detail.
(1) Leadership Definition: Describe your personal definition of leadership including which of the leadership theories from Unit one that your definition most closely aligns.
(2) Leadership Strengths: Describe your leadership strengths based on your MBTI results and interviews.
(3) Leadership Competencies: Describe what you value or uphold most for each of the four leadership competencies explored in this class (Social, Ethical, Emotional & Cultural). Be sure to include what aspect of each competence is most important to you and how that aspect supports your leadership definition. (See point one)
(4) Leadership Development: Describe what areas of your leadership that you plan to enhance or improve upon and how you will do this. For example, you may write that you lack experience interacting in a professional manner. Your plan to improve this may be to join a community organization to build your networking skills.
(5) Leadership Goals: Describe your long-range leadership goals including career goals. How will the factors above help you reach long-term employment goals?
