I believe the U.S. should have Universal Healthcare
P1: Universal Healthcare increases longevity
SP1: According to Ranabhat they stated that “Universal Health Coverage (UHC) is a comprehensive health system approach that facilitates a wide range of health services and significantly improves the life expectancy at birth and healthy life expectancy.”
SP2: Adoption of UHC could play a key role in achieving improved global health outcomes. It is able to do this because it is a comprehensive health system approach that enables the provision of various effective health services that improve life expectancy at birth and healthy life expectancy.
P2: UHC lowers health care costs for all
SP1: The government controls the prices through negotiation and regulation.
SP2: lowers administrative costs because doctors only deal with one government agency. For example, U.S. doctors spend four times as much as Canadians dealing with insurance companies.
P3: UHC improves health care equality
SP1: Universal health care leveraged their systems to mobilize resources and ensure testing and care for their residents. In addition, research shows that expanding health coverage decreases health disparities and supports vulnerable populations’ access to care.
SP2: UHC would reduce poverty and improve economic stability.
Conclusion: I believe that the United States should implement/ have Universal Healthcare.
