Sociology refers to studying social and societal behavior by examining the social institutions, groups, organizations, and cultures that develop when people work together and interact. The duties of the people taking sociology include designing research projects in testing theories regarding social issues. The other aspect is collecting data via interviews, surveys and observations. Additionally, there is preparing articles, presentations, and reports and collaborating and advising other policymakers and social scientists.
Software engineers use flowcharts and diagrams in developing the instructions of the computer via the algorithm used. A professional in software engineering should have vast knowledge regarding computer systems to recognize any limitations in the hardware that can affect the design of the software.

Ethical issues
Ethical issues in the sociology field are integrity, where the professionals should be respectful and honest. They are not supposed to act in a manner that jeopardizes their welfare of the profession. There is the issue of professional competence. The professionals in the field are trying to maintain high levels of competence when they are carrying out their work.
The ethical issues in the software engineering field include the process used in developing the end product. There is also the aspect of human interactions with the product development stages that pose a lot of ethical questions and aspects in software engineering.
