Prepare a written paper/discussion of the ethical issues that arise in conducting a type of research or research that has already been conducted.
My areas of interest: Cancer cell gene line. Example: the ethics involved with how the HeLa gene cell line came to be. The reason why I chose this is because there many ethical issues to address while examining this topic.
Book that may be beneficial to use: Ethical and Regulatory Asppect of Clinical Research by Ezekiel J. Emanuel. This book outlines the history of ethical research and the universal/standard protocols that are utilized when conducting research. Example: Case Report Form 45, section 46 that outlines informed consent.
Describe the topic succinctly.
May be helpful to utilze the Belmot Report and it’s principles of justice, respect of persons, & beneficence. Also the IRB and it’s regards to protecting human rights
