Speech on the Need for Cyber Security Professional and Outline

Informative Speech
Your second speaking assignment is a speech to inform. If you have always wanted to do a how to speech, this is your chance. Other ideas are to inform us, or strengthen our knowledge about a person, place, or thing. If you have traveled, you could tell us about it. If you have a favorite historical or live person, you could introduce us. You have 5-7 minutes, and a grace period of 15 seconds on each side of that. If you go over or under, you will lose 1 point for every 15 second increment, on top of what you will lose on the rubric for time and preparedness. Practice with a clock! You do need a visual aid and you can be creative on that. If you are going to inform us about the need for nurses, you could wear scrubs, bring a stethoscope, etc. I don’t recommend passing anything around during your speech because it’s distracting. You also need to have a key word outline, following the recipe presented in Unit 6. Those are your speaking notes, so make 2 copies and know that you can only bring that to the podium with you. You will need to cite 3 sources as well, such as interviews, statistics, an article or website on your topic. I need to hear them, as well as see them in a “Work Cited” area at the end of the outline. Use MLA format.
