Stereotype threat article

The attached article below discusses stereotype threat. Stereotype threat suggests that a group has faced past stereotypes will have lower performance in tasks when that stereotype is presented. Claude Steele, one of the authors of the article, has studied stereotype threat for many years. In this article, a number of the studies he has worked on are discussed. Read the article and the information regarding stereotype threat in the Myers and Twenge textbook starting on page 269. Give an overview of stereotype threat discussing why it might exist and some examples where it was seen. Discuss the three studies that are outlined in the article regarding female versus male math scores and stereotype threat. What was concluded from each of the three studies. Describe at least one other noted study regarding stereotype threat. This assignment will require research beyond the attached article.

Formatting
Paper must be in APA format. This includes a properly formatted title page, reference page, and in-text citations.
Title of the paper needs to go on the title page AND first page of the paper. Margins should be set to 1 inch on all sides.
The content of your paper must be double-spaced and use 12 pt. Courier or Times New Roman font.
Papers must be saved as a Word document (.doc or .docx) to ensure that your professor can open your paper.
Paper needs to be 4-5 full pages. Please note that the title page, reference page and abstract (if provided) do not count toward the page requirement for the assignment.
Sources
You should use your textbook as one source and the article as one source.
In addition to the textbook and the article, your paper must include at least 2 other scholarly references from high quality sources. This means you must have 4 sources!
Scholarly sources mean from peer-reviewed journals (example–journal or clinical psychology or a article from a journal). You can get these through the Ivy Tech Library and use the PsycArticles web base. If you are unsure of what is a quality source, then visit the link under Course Resources that discusses how to evaluate sources.
Points will be deducted for Wikipedia, Encyclopedias, books other than your text, or websites such as Simply Psychology or other sites that simply regurgitate the text.

Your paper must be well-written, free of grammatical and spelling errors, and flow in a clear and logical manner.
