Workshop Preparation & Participation (i.e. Online Discussion Board posts). Submit a Word document that includes four (4) Discussion Board posts which you have made alongside four (4) different topics. These posts are your contribution to the Fully-Online student group throughout the semester. Each of these four posts (which you choose) addresses one question from each teaching week, and should be approximately 250 words, referenced appropriately, and in addition to the word-count, include a brief reference list at the end of each post (on both the Discussion Board, and when compiling this assessment). This assessment will reflect your contributions over the semester and the Word document will therefore have four sections, along with the corresponding bibliographies. While the name of this assessment task indicates group work, in fairness to Fully-Online students who are not usually available at the same time (due to a host of factors, from work, family and health reasons), I therefore do not want students to be potentially penalised as a result of another student’s reasonable commitments, or otherwise, their possible lack of engagement with their syndicate. Therefore, this is an INDIVIDUALLY assessed task, but still provides ample interaction opportunities with other students via the Discussion Board. It is expected students will generally provide contributions to not just their four chosen topics, and therefore, those particular posts will not be required to be as detailed as the posts that will be chosen for final assessment.
