Substance Abuse on Young Adults and Strategies

Directions for completing assignment

1. Review the fact sheet attached.
2. Identify an age group in your
community ( adolescents, young adults or adults).
3. Create a behavior risk profile
for your chosen group. Only one group needs to be addressed.
4. Provide strategies that you
shall use to reduce the health risks in this age group.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE WORK:
Write critical analysis of selected theme in no
more than 1000 words.
Assignments more than 5% in excess of the word
limit will be penalized. Please state the number of words used. References are
excluded from the word count.
Marks will be awarded for a logical approach as
well as accurate content.
All typed work should be in Arial [font size 10]
or Times New Roman [font size 12]. All work should be double-spaced.
Please use the appropriate Referencing System.
References should be less than 7 years old and at least 15 peer-reviewed
journal articles or reputable websites. Sources like Newspapers, Wikipedia are
unacceptable for use as a reference.
Safe Assign similarity Index for this assignment
is at 20%. Any paper with a similarity index greater than 20% will be
penalized.

allotments. All assignments will only be evaluated using the grading rubric.
All grades on BLACKBOARD are final.
Please submit the assignments in the designated
Drop Box in BLACKBOARD. NO other submission method is acceptable.

Guidelines for submitting assignment
1. You must know how to conduct research to obtain
journal publications and how to use the library databases for obtaining

2. You must use the current APA MANUAL when you
write all papers.
3. You must include your name, and UIN on each page
of your work. The ODU Honor Code is to be placed on each cover sheet of your
paper.
4. Poorly written work will not be accepted-a prerequisite for this course
is completion of the English composition writing courses.
5. Basic knowledge of writing is required, such as
how many sentences are in a paragraph and formatting, and so on.
6. You must place the complete citation of any
works used in the writing of your paper on a Reference Page.
7. This is not a course to write summaries of other
persons work; this is a course where you must demonstrate the ability to think
critically and to apply models and theories to real world situations.
