Each chapter is a different essay, there are 4 chapters and each essay should be 3 pages each.
They must
summarize the main ideas from the chapter (about 500 words) and then finish
with a section (250 – 500 words) that makes a critical analysis, weighs the
evidence for and against the different ideas in the chapter, and comes to a
general conclusion about the relative strengths and weaknesses of the ideas
discussed in the chapter.
Please write
an “expository” or “argumentative” essay. That means that you must have a point (stated
at the beginning and then again in your conclusion), and that you must make an
argument, where you provide evidence for your point. For example, your point could be
“William James contributed more to what psychology is today than Wilhelm
Wundt.” That’s debatable – which is
a good thing. You would need to support
it with a good argument and with evidence.
