Sustainability on artificial islands

The final paper should be 1000-1500 words (about 5 pages double spaced, 12-pt font), follow APA formatting and citation guidelines, and should include a variety of reputable sources. The paper should demonstrate that you have thoroughly researched and critically examined a sector/category of the tourism industry and are able to make suggestions to enhance the sustainability of that sector. This paper should be written in an academic/scholarly style. Please avoid using first person (i.e. no “I”/”me”) and casual, conversational language. This paper should be more oriented around research and literature review than your own field-based observations, although you may incorporate both.

Each paper is expected to incorporate at least three peer-reviewed academic journal articles (from your annotated bibliography). You are also encouraged to include additional types of references, such as:

Interview(s) with relevant staff, officials, managers, etc.
Official industry reports (such as from trade organizations, government agencies, research firms, etc.)
First-person observations (but remember, don’t use “I” when writing the paper)
Non-fiction books on your topic
Relevant articles in magazines, newspapers, or trade journals
