Systems of Counseling: Pros and Consfor
this paper, students will compare and contrast the two systems of counseling
proposed by the text in Chapter 1: the Developmental Wellness Approach, and the
Medical/Pathological Model (Gladding, 2018, p. 21). Using the textbook as a
starting point, each student will use peer-reviewed research (at least 6
sources) to evaluate the pros and cons of each approach. Students will then
present an argument for what approach they find to be the most useful and
ethical from their perspective as a future counselor (it may be necessary
reference state/national ethical codes for this assignment). This paper should
be at least 4 pages long, not including title and reference pages. See rubric
attached in Blackboard for exact breakdown of points.
